A brand more than just design! A brand is a business profile. It’s how your business is viewed and perceived as a whole package. Your brand is the quality of the service and / or products you provide. It’s your customers / clients experience with you, how you present yourself through your actions. It’s how you and your staff answer the phone, it’s what people say about your business.
A successful brand has an identity, a brand identity allows consumers to identify a business with a name, a logo, a tagline, a typeface, the style, the imagery (photography, illustrations, graphics, icons). This is all generally packaged up in a document called a style guide and helps support an organisations brand identity consistently.
Depending on the size of the business a style guide may be broken into separate documents. A writing style guide describes the tone and voice when writing content, weather for articles, emails, radio or TV commercials.
It’s surprising just how many businesses, small to large, that are unable to articulate what their business brand is.
